Whether you are a beginner with little to no experience or someone who has played for a few years but needs help getting to the next level, I will be the one to set your goals and have you on your way to truly enjoying the guitar.

I am an enthusiastic and patient musician with a love for teaching and watching all of my students succeed! As a graduate of Towson University with a Bachelor's degree in music, I have a decade of teaching experience and currently teach out of my home studio in the Bouldin Creek neighborhood. I can help you achieve your goals, encourage interest in music and impart the basics of music theory and technique to students of ALL AGES. Newbies are always welcome here!!

Aside from experience and education, as a lifelong musician I believe that learning an instrument should be fun! I personalize lesson plans for each student according to his or her INTERESTS and LEARNING STYLE. I enjoy teaching all levels and am particularly patient and encouraging with those who are new to the instrument. Primarily a rock guitarist, I do have experience teaching most genres and styles associated with the guitar.

I also have experience as a professional drummer and I keep a drum kit in my studio space. I look forward to potential jam sessions, offering students the essential and enjoyable experience of making music with other musicians. Additionally, I utilize home recording equipment and YouTube to allow students to practice along at home with examples from the lesson material.

I teach out of my home studio near the Twin Oaks Library conveniently located just off of South Lamar or South 1st. I am currently accepting students for weekdays/weeknights as well as Saturday mornings. Weekly lessons are $45 per hour. If you wish to have in home lessons at your location, contact me for additional travel fees.
